Spatial Volunteers

Becoming a Spatial Volunteer is a great way to give back to your WALIS community.

THINKING OF BECOMING A SPATIAL VOLUNTEER?

The Western Australian Land Information System (WALIS) is made up of many people dedicated to providing good will through time and effort for the initiatives that make our spatial community better.

By getting involved in your spatial community you will be helping to promote that good will further!  You may even be eligible for 3SI Contribution to the Profession points for some of these activities.

We are currently seeking expressions of interest for:

3SI Mentoring Program – as mentor

The Surveying and Spatial Sciences Institute (3SI) runs the mentoring program through the Young Professionals (YP) program.  The next generation of spatial professionals in WA needs you!

3SI Mentoring Program – as mentee

If you would like to have a mentor in the industry.

Spatial Technology in Schools (STiS) - as mentor

The STiS competition is run largely by good will.  It matches up primary and high school classes with spatial professionals as mentors to do a spatial analysis project. Remember that WA has taken out national and Asia Pacific prize pools consistently – so please help keep WA out front!

Spatial Technology in Schools (STiS) – as judge

The STiS competition needs judges as well.
