Policies
All WALIS policies and standards have been developed in partnership with WALIS participants and represent a whole of community perspective on the issues that affect the effective use and management of the State's geographic information.
WALIS Associate Membership Policy
Associate Membership is a new category developed to extend the WALIS Membership base beyond WA state government departments. Associate Membership will open the doors to organisations that previously could not participate as WALIS Members and will allow them to stay up-to-date on WALIS related activities being undertaken within and across state government. Additional this membership will provide the opportunity to influence policy and set standards, which means they can play a role in the future strategic direction of WALIS and how it operates.
Pricing Policy
The intent of the WALIS Pricing Policy is to form a consistent policy to encourage use, reduce barriers, discourage duplication, provide equity of access and reduce costs of using land and geographic information held by WA Government agencies.
The Guidelines for Custodianship, established as the means of ensuring accountability for the care and maintenance of information within the public sector.
