Business Intelligence: Making spatial information work for you
Western Australian Land Information System (WALIS), in conjunction with the Australian Computer Society, is pleased to announce it will host a half-day forum scheduled for March 2009 in Perth, especially designed to cater for Chief Information Officers.
Peter Batty, an industry leader in the rapidly growing field of geospatial and location technologies will be the Forum's Keynote Speaker. Peter has served as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at two of the industry's leading companies (Intergraph and Smallworld, now part of GE) as well as a cutting edge startup (Ten Sails, now Ubisense).

9:50am to 10:10am : Sessions with Professor Andrew Rohl, CEO of iVEC ('iVEC - Supporting WA Research') and Dr. Robert Woodcock from CSIRO ('Spatial Data Infrastructure Supporting Earth Science')
10:15am to 10:45am : Morning tea
10:50am to 11:10am : Mike Bradford, Executive Director of Information Access at Landgate, will speak about the Shared Land Information Platform (SLIP) Enabler
11:15am to 11:35am : Dr. Derek Milton from ESRI Australia, will discuss 'Location Intelligence in Business Knowledge'
11:45am to 12:30pm : Q & A Session where participants will have the opportunity to ask the speakers questions
12:30pm : Lunch and tour of iVEC
The forum will be held in the ARRC Auditorium at Bentley Technology Park. The cost for the day is $110, with morning tea, lunch and the tour of iVEC included. Parking is available at the venue free of charge.
