WA Landcare Awards Gala Luncheon, 25 August
Landcare is a movement of individuals and groups focusing on managing the environment in their local area. The term ‘Landcare ethic’ refers to the ethic of caring for the land carried out by local community groups. It is the partnership between community groups, schools, businesses and local government working together and supporting projects and plans to address local environmental issues.
Category finalists and colleagues will join
together to enjoy lunch and celebrate the 2011 winners of the WA Landcare Awards. The Governor, Malcolm McCusker, who is the Patron of
Landcare Western Australia, will be announcing the winners and James Lush from ABC radio will be the Master of Ceremonies for the
luncheon.
