Assoc. Professor Dr. Temenoujka Bandrova
At ISDE7, Associate Professor Dr. Temenoujka Bandrova's topic will be "Multifunctional Cartographic Application of 3D Model of Mountain Territory".
Dr. Temenoujka Bandrova is an Associate Professor on Cartography, Department of Photogrammetry and Cartography at University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy (UACG), Head of laboratory on cartography, Erasmus coordinator for Faculty of Geodesy and a member of the Control Counsel of the UACG.
She is also a co-chair of the Commission of Cartography and Children (CCC) –International Cartographic Association (ICA), a member of the Association for Geospatial Information in South-East Europe (AGISEE), a member of International Editor Boards: International Journal of Digital Earth, Cartographia and Geoinformatika, Croatia, Magazine “Geodesy, Cartography and Land Managers”, Bulgaria.
Her professional interests are in the fields of 3D cartographic modelling, mapping for children, cartographic symbol systems and map projections. She is an author of more than 150 articles; 30 school atlases and more than 70 wall maps in geography and history, approved by Ministry of Education for Bulgarian schools. She is a project manager in DataMap Ltd where her school atlases and maps are published.
Temenoujka was a
president of the International Conference on Cartography and GIS in 2006, 2008
and 2010 and of Digital Earth Summit, 2010.
