Teachers Expo at the WALIS International Forum 2008

Preliminary notice

The WALIS International Forum 2008 will be held on 12-14 March at the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre. New to the Forum is a stream specially designed for teachers, which will include workshops with ESRI, MapInfo, Google Australia, Australian Bureau of Statistics and Western Australian state government departments. Geography teachers, especially those interested in GIS and spatial technology, will learn a lot and will have the opportunity to network with the industry and be set up to use geographic information systems as per the new Geography Course of Study.

A special price for teachers has been negotiated, and teachers can register their interest at forum@walis.wa.gov.au.
