WALIS and SLIP
Information regarding the relationship between WALIS & SLIP
Background
In late 2006, the responsibility of managing the Shared Land Information Platform (SLIP) Governance was transferred to the WALIS Office. As a part of this process, the WALIS Office has been fully integrated into the Landgate (formerly the Department of Land Information). Since then, work has been undertaken on integrating and streamlining WALIS and SLIP management and governance arrangements.
As a result of these changes, the WALIS Office is currently developing a WALIS-SLIP Communication Plan, which aims to clearly and concisely communicate the relationship between WALIS and SLIP. It will also clarify the future plans for WALIS and SLIP, as well as the role of the WALIS Office.
